I am a dedicated mechanical engineering student with a strong academic background, having studied at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and currently continuing my studies at The University of Newcastle. My education at these prestigious institutions has provided me with a solid foundation in engineering principles and practices. Throughout my academic career, I have actively participated in and led several projects utilizing SolidWorks, where I consistently demonstrated my leadership and teamwork abilities. I am an Architect and I have enjoyed a challenging and diverse range of experiences since qualifying in 1997. I have spent much of my career involved in interior design, working internationally in Canada, the USA and most recently Turkey. The Projects have included Yachts, multi outlet Retail, Restaurants, Hospitality, Point of Sale and Residential. My direct responsibilities have varied over the years and projects, but duties have pretty much covered everything from initial Client Briefing, through Concept Design, Coordination with other Architects, Structural Engineers, General and individual Trade Subcontractors (incl. Plumbing, Electrical, Stonework) to final delivery to the Client. I have spent a great deal of my time on Site, controlling quality, providing additional information to Contractors and dealing with conflict resolution. I am knowledgeable and productive with the usual software packages, and have particularly good experience with 3D construction modeling for production (Rhino) and preparing conceptual renderings (Maxwell). I have spent many years working as an outside resource for various companies including conventional building architecture, naval architecture as well as yacht and hospitality design.
