As an immersive and innovative tool, virtual reality and augmented reality have been instrumental in several design reviews and are now being applied to minimize environmental issues. These technologies are part of Industry 4.0, which I have led the implementation of locally. In the past year, I have been involved with the Volvo Performance System, leading the Powertrain Engineering core team. I’m a freelance mechanical designer and lean consultant based in Belgium, running my own technical bureau: Verta Machinery.
