I’m a freelance mechanical designer and lean consultant based in Belgium, running my own technical bureau: Verta Machinery.

My background:
- Bachelor in Design & Production Technology
- Certified in Lean Management
- Several years of hands-on experience with industrial machinery (balers, compactors, steel structures, conveyors and custom equipment), from design to maintenance and optimisation

What I do for clients:

1) CAD & Mechanical Design (mainly SolidWorks)
- 3D modelling of welded frames, sheet metal parts and mechanical assemblies
- Production-ready drawings for laser cutting and bending (DXF/DWG, bend lines, hole patterns, weld symbols, ...)
- Design updates and optimisation of existing machines (manufacturability, robustness, easy maintenance)

2) Maintenance & Service Organisation
- Setting up maintenance plans, checklists and service documentation
- Building simple, practical tools to track machines, interventions and spare parts
- Standardising service workflows so technicians and planners work more consistently

3) Lean Improvements in Workshops and Technical Services
- 5S and workplace organisation in workshops and warehouses
- Standard work instructions for recurring maintenance/service tasks
- Mapping and improving the flow from breakdown → planning → execution → invoicing to reduce waste and delays
