About the job
We are seeking an experienced mechanical or automotive design engineer to develop a new golf cart frame/chassis from concept to production-ready design.
Scope of Work:
Design a complete golf cart frame (welded structure)
Define mounting points for suspension, steering, seats, battery, and body
Create 3D CAD model (SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent)
Perform basic structural analysis (FEA) for load validation
Deliver detailed fabrication drawings and BOM
Requirements:
Proven experience in vehicle chassis or similar structures
Strong understanding of manufacturing and weldments
Ability to deliver production-ready engineering (not just concept design)
Experience with small EVs, carts, or light vehicles is a plus
Deliverables:
- Final 3D CAD assembly
- 2D technical drawings for fabrication
- BOM and material specifications
- (Optional) FEA results and design notes
