About the job
Attached pictures are a mock up drawing of the design I made and some real work examples.
a few stipulations and constraints are;
1) the width of the cooking chamber and firebox should be 42 inches
2) the rounded parts are to be the same radius
3) The type of metal 1/4 or 3/8 inch steel
4) The shape of the smoke collecter ( aka plenum) should be shaped similar to the mock-up.
5) the level of the grate is the same as the height of the height of the top of the firebox.
6) There should be, on both sides of the firebox, a 2 inch wall for insulation.
- Not shown in the mockup drawing are the doors for the pit and the door for the firebox.
Use fluid dynamic analytics to ensure the Venturi effect is effective and there is an evenly dispersed temperature throughout the cooking chamber. The idea behind the curved pieces are that it smooths the flow of air through the system.
- With these constraints, find the optimal size of the throat, length of the cooking chamber, size and height of the smoke stack.
- Not shown in the mock-up is the hinges, doors, counterweights. The firebox door and hinges for the cooking chamber are as shown.
Generate a material list, overall amount of material needed, total weight, and dimensions.
