About the job
Objective
We want to elevate our working plans to a higher, more professional standard. Currently, we design in Structure Studios (VIP3D) and then create working plans, but we need a clean, consistent, and scalable CAD template + detail database that allows us to match the quality of the attached “aspirational” example.
Deliverables
Custom CAD Template (DWT or equivalent)
Title blocks with our logo, company info, CPC license, and auto-fill project fields.
Pre-set layers (pool shell, decking, plumbing, electrical, dimensions, annotations, details) with proper lineweights and plotting standards.
Page setups ready for printing to PDF.
Standard sheet index (A1 Dimensional, A2 Grading/Drainage, S1 Structural, H1 Hydraulic, E1 Electrical/Bonding, D-Series Details, N1 Notes/Specs).
Detail Library (DWG / Block Library)
Typical pool sections (beam, steps, benches, raised walls, tile/coping).
Hydraulic details (main drains, skimmers, suctions/returns, autofills, overflow, surge troughs).
Structural details (steel schedules, bonding, shotcrete sections).
Decking and joint details.
Standard callouts for Wet Edge finishes, tile, coping, waterproofing.
Tool Palettes / Dynamic Blocks
Common symbols: pumps, filters, heaters, lights, returns, valves, check valves, automation panels.
Dynamic blocks that allow size/brand selection.
Annotation symbols for elevations, slopes, spot grades, pipe sizes.
Hydraulic + Electrical Standards

Hydraulic + Electrical Standards
Hydraulic plan format (pipe sizes, TDH notes, pump selection, valve schedule).
Equipment pad plan + isometric with labeling standards.
Electrical plan with bonding/grounding layout, light/transformer callouts.
QA Checklist + Plot Standards
One-page checklist for issuing permit-ready sets.
Notes and legends aligned with FBC code requirements.
Ensure compatibility with municipality permitting expectations (DWG + PDF output).
Reference Files
Attached Current Plan → shows where we are today.
Attached Aspirational Plan → shows the level of polish, clarity, and professionalism we want to achieve.
Expectations
Deliver all template, block, and detail files in DWG format.
Provide a working example plan using our template to demonstrate layout, layers, and sheet standards.
Ensure all files are editable by our in-house team (not locked).
Provide a short “how-to” guide (1–2 pages) so our designers can use the template consistently.
