3D Mechanical Design of Exercise/Rehabilitation Equipment with Adjustable Magnetic Resistance Ended

We are looking for a highly skilled mechanical design engineer or product designer with proven experience in designing exercise, gym, or rehabilitation equipment — especially those involving adjustable magnetic resistance and retractable motion mechanisms (similar to rowing machines or elliptical trainers).

This project involves the development of two different devices and must include:
- Full 3D CAD design of 2 machines (no 2D drawings required initially)
- Adjustable magnetic resistance system integration (non-electrical or mechanical preferred)
- Retractable guided motion mechanisms (linear or rotational)
- Force and resistance calculations for components and mechanical advantage
- Creation of a complete Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Order list with sourcing suggestions for standard parts and components
- The final delivery should be in STEP (.stp) format

Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in designing fitness/rehab machines or sports equipment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical resistance systems (especially magnetic and friction types)
- Ability to optimize the design using standardized components
- Must deliver functional and manufacturable designs
- Communication in English and willingness to do occasional video updates

Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of ergonomics for rehabilitation and fitness
- Familiarity with ISO/EN standards for gym or medical equipment
- Experience with sourcing or designing based on real-world components (bearings, tubes, rollers, etc.)
