About the job
Looking for a mechanical engineer to take a selected concept from Phase 1 into detailed design. Core focus is a spring-based resistance mechanism with adjustable tension. Prior concept work and technical notes will be shared under NDA.
Scope of work:
Finalize spring mechanism (type, sizing, force-vs-travel characteristic)
Design adjustment mechanism for resistance level
Full 3D CAD assembly (SolidWorks or Fusion 360) with tolerances
2D manufacturing drawings
Material/process recommendations and BOM cost estimate
Short report explaining key engineering decisions
Key skills required:
Proven experience with spring-based mechanisms (torsion and/or extension springs)
Experience with adjustable mechanical/transmission systems (e.g. worm gears)
Understanding of DFM and manufacturing cost control
Proficient in SolidWorks or Fusion 360; deliver native/STEP files + drawings
Deliverables:
3D CAD assembly (native + STEP)
2D drawings
Spring mechanism documentation
BOM with cost estimates
