Help needed to move 2d Auto Cad Design to Revit & Advance Steel Ended
About the job
We already have structures designed in AutoCAD 2d and have been building and installing them for years. This is the design the customer wants with structural steel. Periodically we have mistakes and connection issues when providing site specific drawings.
Upper management here believes that something like Advance Steel will help us check clashes and connections. Also our direction will be Revit going forward instead of AutoCad. This process of getting our drafting team up to speed on Revit and Advance Steel wont be a fast one.
In the meantime, I am just wanting to provide someone with our existing designs, have them ported to Revit and Advance Steel and let us see if this gives us the insight they think it will.
