About the job
Project Overview:
We require an experienced BIM specialist to convert a complete set of 2D AutoCAD (.dwg) as-built drawings into a highly accurate, cleanly structured Revit model (.rvt). This model is for an upcoming residential remodel project encompassing approximately 2,000 square feet.
The finalized Revit file will be handed off directly to a licensed architect for design development. Strict adherence to proper BIM modeling hygiene, clean geometry, and accurate file organization is mandatory. Messy drafting or simple "3D tracing" will not be accepted.
Scope of Work & Technical Requirements:
• Software Version: The model must be built natively in [Insert Revit Version, e.g., Revit 2025/2026]. No backward compatibility is allowed; verify your version before bidding.
• CAD Import: Link the provided 2D AutoCAD (.dwg) as-built plans, elevations, and sections. Do not permanently explode or import CAD vector lines into the Revit environment.
• Modeling Hygiene: Model all existing architectural elements (walls, floors, doors, windows, and roof geometries) accurately to scale. Maintain clean wall joins, proper structural intersections, and accurate element classification.
• Phasing Setup: Organize the model with proper basic phase settings (Existing vs. New/Demo setup) appropriate for a residential remodel project.
• Final Deliverable: A clean, fully organized, detached .rvt file with all linked CAD files detached prior to final submission.
Milestones & Payment Structure:...

Milestones & Payment Structure:
• Milestone 1 (50% / Day 7): Progress Review. Freelancer must submit the native file showing the primary floor plan layout, core walls, and basic level setups for a technical "test slice" review.
• Milestone 2 (50% / Day 14): Final Delivery. Full delivery of the finalized, clean Revit model following verification of modeling standards.
Project Budget: Negotiable / Bids
Project Timeline: 14-Day or Less Delivery
How to Bid:
Please submit your bid along with a brief description of your Revit experience. You must attach a small work sample or screenshot of a past Revit project showcasing your layout, modeling hygiene, or construction document sheets. Bids without a portfolio sample will be automatically disqualified.
