I am a Professional Engineer and Certified SolidWorks Professional located near Toronto, Canada so communications will be easy. I am also SolidWorks certified in Advanced Sheet Metal and Advanced Mold Tools. I have used SolidWorks since 2001. I own SolidWorks Premium 2018 and I am on subscription to stay current. I have kept SolidWorks releases going back to 2014, to stay compatible with clients who have not upgraded. I also own SolidWorks Visualize Professional 2018 (formerly Bunkspeed) to do my renderings. For nine years I owned a custom display manufacturing business in Toronto, so I am very comfortable with taking a client’s pencil sketch ideas and doing a complete 3D model in SolidWorks to get design approval before creating a full set of manufacturing drawings. I believe in "walk before you run", and I hate rework, so I get client feedback early & often to be sure we are always on the same track. I use GrabCAD Workbench to securely share files with my clients. You will be able to use your web browser to view, rotate, measure & annotate the files. You can also download the files and work on them. Once you are satisfied, I will do the drawing package. My hourly rate is $60. My available hours per week can vary to meet the project schedule. I have 8 years of design experience in Start-up environments. I have been using Solidwork for 15 years now, both in and out of college, and I have my own copies of both SolidWorks Premium and SolidWorks Simulation Pro. This allows me to not only design a full CAD model but also perform FEA simulations to determine strength. I also have 5 years of hands on manufacturing experience where I not only designed equipment but would then build it myself. This ranged from hydraulic power sources to welding robots to large scale, high precision welding jigs and this has given me a unique understanding into how to design things so they can also be built easily. I can do basic CAD models based off of sketches and return to you any part files you may need such as STEP, DXF, DWG or anything else needed for manufacturing purposes. I can also do ground up design of a project from just a basic concept including all engineering work and part sourcing. I am very detailed in my work and always try to find the best possible solution to the problem at hand as quickly as possible.
