A house plan is a collection of working drawings or construction drawings that pertain to the plans for building a house and are sometimes called blueprints. These drawings will define all of the specifications for the construction of a residence. This includes details such as the layout, the floor plan, the dimensions, the materials that will be used, the techniques that will be employed, and the installation methods of each component of the residence. There are a number of different elements that go into a house plan, and the house plan freelancers at Cad Crowd know the ins and outs of them. These freelancers have the skills it takes to cover all of the different components of house planning to get your project off of the ground.
The first of these plans often includes site plans. These site plans are drawn up in order to show the location of a house on the property that it will be built upon. It is an overhead look of the site of construction as well as the home in the way that it sits in relation to the boundaries of the building lot. Site plans will outline things such as the setback requirements, the location of the utility services, the location of walkways and driveways, the easements, and perhaps even the topographical data that will show any slopes in the terrain if needed.
Then there is the floor plan, which is another overhead look, but this time it is of the completed house. There will be parallel lines that go along the width of the walls, and the dimensions will typically be drawn in between the walls in order to show the sizes of the rooms as well as the lengths of the walls. Floor plans also show the different rooms, windows, doors, and built-in elements that are a part of the house. These plans will come with notes containing construction methods, finishing notes, or electrical symbols for those items.
Elevations are another aspect of a house plan. They are non-perspective looks at the home and are drawn to scale in order to ensure that the measurements are able to be taken on any aspect. Plans will include both of the side elevations as well as the front and rear. These elevations will show the heights of the ridges, the positioning of how the land falls, the roof pitches, the exterior finishes, and other details that will show the architectural style.
