Description:
Zwirly is an automated countertop soft-serve machine manufactured. We are redesigning the outer cabinet for our next production run and running this contest to source a new industrial design. The mechanical package, refrigeration system, and dispensing mechanism are already engineered — we are asking you to design the enclosure around them.
Design ambition: this machine will NOT look like another countertop appliance. We want a piece of industrial design people notice — closer in spirit to Dyson, Nothing, Teenage Engineering, and Apple than to standard vending or commercial-kitchen equipment. The cabinet should read as premium consumer product, not enterprise equipment.
Approximate footprint: countertop-scale, roughly Height 34.2” Width 21.3” Depth 34.5” Front-facing dispensing area. Touchscreen interface on the front face. Ventilation required on the rear.
Deliverables: rendered concept views (front, side, rear, three-quarter) plus one hero shot. Winning designer will be offered follow-on paid work to produce the full production CAD package.
Wants:
Distinctive visual identity — does it stand apart from every other countertop appliance on the market?Manufacturability — sheet-metal and plastic-tooling feasibility for production in China. current version is metal and too bulky / heavy.
Cohesion between form, dispensing area, screen placement, and ventilation.
Brand fit — modern, premium, confident. Must be kid friendly, our biggest customer.
Overall design quality of the rendered presentation.
Don't Wants:
Boxy conventional vending or commercial-kitchen equipment aesthetics. Retro or novelty forms (ice cream cones, cartoon shapes, 1950s diner styling).
Excessive branding real estate, logos wrapped across large panels, or "wrapped truck" surface design. The front screen UI does a lot of the advertising for us.
Overly angular or "gaming PC" aesthetics.
Direct visual copies of Dyson, Nothing, or Apple products — take inspiration, don't clone.

3D Modeling and Roof Design
I would like an exterior and roof designed based on my floor plans. Project MUST be done in Chief Architect. Looking for a modern style home, shed roofs, similar to the contemporary home on our website http://www.inartifex.com/#!untitled/zoom/cqxa/image1ido
Material can be a mix of stucco, board and batten, limit the use of stone as the home is budget conscious.
Feel free to be creative. You do not need to use the existing material etc.
KLEIN 2-Way Radio
This is a small desktop 2-way radio. Instead of having it on your hip, or a big bulky dispatch radio, this is the size of a portable radio in a desktop box.
Bas Relief Panels
Create bas relief panel models to be CNC routed from MDF sheet. I will provide exact panel dimensions, sketches of the design and images to be modeled. Photos of similar examples attached.
