Description:
We would like to figure out an easy attachment to put on a standard Uline trash to keep at a minimum, racoons out of the can. Uline Model H-7937BL. The lid that opens 270° on molded hinges. 65 Gallon L27 x W27 x H44"Weight is 29lbs. Ideally this would fit numerous trash cans. We have seen straps, but we are looking for something that keeps it closed by just shutting the lid but will allow the can to open with the weight of the garbage inside when a truck picks it up and flips it. Let's put the weight of the garbage at min. 20lb
Wants:
We would ideally like this to be primarily made of plastic, something we could produce with an Injection Molding Machine or 3D printed. Other materials could be included (magnets as example).
Don't Wants:
We would like this to be easy to install. Ideally no tools, or minimal tools (drill, wrench).

Hi, for those asking for CAD drawings of the trash can/bin, we have already received submissions that were able to find that information (CAD files), to keep things fair, we won't be posting the CAD. This would be a separate product bought separately form the bin. As far as other parts (Springs and Washers), yes, but ideally a very simple solution (cost effective, easy to install, easy to manufacture/purchase). Thank you!
Any innovative design completely different from Uline Model H-7937BL allowed?
Will the part be integrated with the bin itself, or is it going to be a separate product that will be used as an additional accessory bought separately from the bin?
I have the best solution, but it also requires some metal parts for the lock mechanism. It's based on gravity locking, but the basic principle is not same as the other solutions on the market that turned out to fail against the Raccoons. We can have a deal at 10K. Let me know if you are interested.

Also, is it possible for you to provide the 3d model of the trash can?....it can help pace up the design process.

Greetings, I viewed the dimensions of the top of the Uline Model H-7937BL but need the exact shape and dimension because the edges are rounded/filleted.

auto-tuning radio
I have a provisional patent and am looking for help to make a prototype. The device should have two digital tuners controlled by a computer, each capable of receiving digital radio signal and digital ID co-broadcasted by radio stations. The computer uses one tuner to scan radio frequencies and sorts available radio signals based on station name, program genre, and music group. This device should be able to find a radio station based on station name rather than by frequency. Some national radio stations such as Public Radio broadcast on multiple frequencies on overlapping terrains. In a moving vehicle, when the signal deteriorates on one frequency, this device should be able to use the second tuner to scan for better signal and achieve seamless transition from one frequency to another without interrupting the program by switching the roles of the two tuners.

The Steam Punk Jet Engine F3
Looking for someone to design a cool graphic for my Formula 3 race car. The idea is to render the image onto a 3D image of the vehicle and tweak it until everyone is happy. I'm working on having a 3D image done in CAD as we speak - but would like to start the creative part by soliciting ideas on what kind of images might work on the different parts of the vehicle and how it all ties together.
You will see in the attached powerpoint what kind of concept I'm after (Bugatti, VW, etc...), steam punk, jet engines, etc... and you'll also see picture of the actual F3. Again, this will work best once I have a 3D version - so this first round is all about finding cool artwork and figuring out what goes where. I DO want the sheet metal pop-rivet look (from the Bugatti) as the main them for the F# with cut-outs similar to how it was done on the VW to expose the guts. I also think that the large engine cooling shrouds on each side of the vehicle could be jet engine, possibly with small flames shooting out of the vertical breather fins - but that's just one idea. I welcome any and all other ideas.
