Description:
Inviting concept design for a charging cradle for a ring mouse. AirPoint mouse is a finger-wearable bluetooth ring mouse. A user can slide the finger across a surface to get mouse cursor movement. It can also be used as an air mouse by moving finger in space. After use, this device needs to be docked in a charging cradle to recharge the battery and also for safe storage. Seeking designs for a charging dock for this device. See the attached picture and stp file for the reference dimension of the finger-wearable unit.
Note that the finger-wearable unit has a magnetic connector that attaches to a magnetic connector in the charging PCB board.
Wants:
1) Sleek, elegant, and futuristic design. 2) Docks the finger-wearable unit at a 45 degree angle to facilitate easy docking and removal.
3) USB-C charging opening on one of the sides of the cover.
4) Magnetic bottom cover to latch to classroom whiteboards or table desk.
5) Top Cover that securely lock away the finger-wearable device.
7) Easy to carry around for traveling.
8) Easily accessible chamber to install two AAA batteries
9) An inside chamber for PCB board invisible to the user with a minimum dimensions of 30 mm X 30 mm X 2 mm ( L X W X H).
10) Aesthetically pleasing renderings of the model.
Don't Wants:

Dear Joseph,
After our discussion, find attached the last version of your product. I improved it slightly and included the STEP files of the 3D printed parts so that you can have a look yourself at the real thing.
Very excited to see it IRL (maybe), I hope you'll enjoy it even more than as a 3D model.
Have a great week,
Quentin

I believe this is what you really need
Carefully designed to suit for dock charging and all request are carefully looked.
The dock at 45 degrees
Magnetic base
AAA battery space
Type C USB port
And a unique design.
Adding to the above would be lovely if the lead or cover could be a magnetic lock type, just a suggestion since there is already need to make use of magnet for the base.
Thank you.

#26 AirPoint Cube - Smart Charging Dock - Quentin Margeot - Rev.02
by Quentin Margeot
Hi again Josephan,
Following our exchanges, here's the reviewed design. Top lid is now transparent, and I also reworked it so that it keeps the same function of keeping the AirPoint in place while being easier to fabricate (it is now a single part, and easily 3D printed or plastic molded). Regarding the hinge situation, I really struggled to improve it, although I sincerely think it looks great now that we have the transparent lid. I added you a slide at the end to explain another constraint that makes the hinge pop out that much.
I really hope you'll enjoy it, and I'm waiting for your return.
Have a great Friday,
Quentin

This was designed using Autodesk inventor Professional but as requested to use solid works, I uploaded the STEP file for your general use.
The dock at 45 degree, causes a raise in hight of the dock position,
The base support in the design can easily be integrated to serve as a magnetic base for the class room board magnet you requested for, as the magnet can be installed in the base position.
Please fine the dimension and other informations on the pictures uploaded.
Thank you.

Hello, dear contest holder,
here is my submission for the contest.
I included all of your requests and produced many 4K renders as requested.
Also included an indented logo and a charging LED indicator.
There should be more than enough space for the PCB as I worked with a 44x42x1mm PCB.
But I had to guess the dimensions of the connector.
kind regards,
David

Hi Josephan,
Here's my take on your project. It took some time to get it done because I really wanted to make it great as I'm convinced my idea will fit what you have in mind. Please find attached a PDF file with renderings & explanations about the inspiration and the features.
I know you just wanted renderings at first but it'll be a lot easier if you can have access to the 3D as well, so you can find a STEP file attached too.
I really hope you'll enjoy the idea and I'm looking forward to your feedback.
Have a great week,

#51 Concept 01
by KatyaKorolyova
Hi! My name is Katya. I`m industrial designer. I want to introduce my concept. I wanted to created stylish minimalistic design which would be in harmony with your model. Also I want to propose the idea that the wearable unit was fixed using a system of springs and latches and was reached by clicking on it. Also, if this idea is too complicated, I can refine the design and make a notch under the fingers. This concept have place for AAA batteries, magnetic bottom cover and PCB board. Thanks for watching!

Dear Reda,
This is our first time using this platform. Was worried that rating design will adversely affect the designer's online profile. We will review and rate.

could you rate the work, please ;)
to know if we should continue other designs or not.
if you don't rate, we can't know if our design is accepted or not.
and then it's good for the effort made
