Description:
We would like a fresh set of eyes on our device ROBERT, a rehabilitation robot that release healthcare workers of heavy and continuous lifting which can cause physical strain and pain in the back, loin, wrists and shoulders. We aim to optimise rehabilitation through more frequently and prolonged exercises which can result in fewer complications and a faster retrieval of a patient’s strength. See more at www.myrobert.com.
The current look is a mixture of many components comming together which does not result in a uniform design. Further we whish to incorporate a new robot arm, made by the company KUKA, the LBR iiwa version, www.kuka.com/en-de/products/robot-systems/industrial-robots/lbr-iiwa. This will later come in a MEDtech version, similar in use but in white and with a small change to the interface base. CAD data of the industrial version can be used for this design, change is that wiring will come out of the bottom of the medtech version and not the sides like the industrial version, so completely round in base instead of the small square thing on the side of the industrial version (so no visible wires). The industrial version can be downloaded here: www.kuka.com/en-de/services/downloads. It is the "LBR iiwa 14 R820" found under division "KUKA Robotics".
Wants:
We want a design that incorporate the brand look of Robert in the design. It shall include the KUKA robot arm. It shall not include a touch screen as currently and also not the small "remote" control positionend next to it (see homepage). It shall symbolize robustness and cleanliness (medical device) and it shall be able to fit to be workable in close distance of a hospital bed (like a human lift). The operator shall be able to move it around with easy accessable handles without kicking the legs into the machine and it shall be large enough to contain "controller cabinet" of arm (attached as stp file)
Don't Wants:
No input on different robot arm look. It must be KUKA device.
A device that cannot hold the "controller cabinet" and the "controller cabinet" must not be visible
File Size Limit:
5 MB - 9.9 MB
Software:
  1. any program that can generate a stp file

People that don't show their design typically are copying someone elses.

@Steersman: Just write "LBR" in the "product name" scroll bar, then the "14 R820" come up

Hi
To some degree it is pretty straight forward. Take our existing desing, replace the metal robotic arm with the KUKA model in White. The body (the big White part underneath the metal robotics arm with the logo to it) shall be big enough to hold the controller cabinet as desribed in the brief. The hole thing shall be a clean uniform design that looks as if the KUKA arm was design to just this body and visa versa. Whether you make the design coherent in shape or color or shape is up to you. In that respect you have artistic freedom.

Hi. I am having problems downloading the model. I have found KUKA Robotics under 'Division' and LBR iiwa under 'Product Family', but cannot locate 14 R820.
Can you help?

Hello Kabbo,
The client needs a healthcare rehab robot with a new kuka-arm included in the design and the design should not include the LCD-display and remote as in the current design. It should be clean, simple and free to move around.
Hope it helped you.

Thanks,
GG

iPhone/Android Accessory Design Enhancement
This consumer product is an accessory that provides enhanced usability to mobile phones and tablets. The latest design of our "Band" is two parts: 1. Round Base that attaches to the back of the phone (made from a low-friction polymer like polyethylene) 2. A "band" that overlaps with the Round Base (1) and rotates/spins around it. (made from polyethylene over-molded with rubber to provide elasticity to the top band part) The rubber part of the band elongates so that an individual's finger can be placed underneath the band and above the base. The elasticity part is important so it can accommodate different finger sizes. The product allows users to hold the phone more securely. Our current challenge is the design of the "Band" (2). This is where we need the help. As shown in the attached STL file for the Band, there are two circles on either side of the flap that holds the finger down. These circle were put there to provide some added elasticity to the rubber piece. While it does functionally work well, the current design does not look durable or very elegant. We'd like to rethink the band design to make it look incredibly user-friendly, allowing the band to stretch upright to accommodate different finger sizes, while being functionally superior to the current design. Designer will need to provide STL files for my prototyping company to be able to work with.
Unicycle
Hi all, thanks for checking out my contest! I am involved with a company that is looking to receive some entries for a "prototype" electric unicycle. If you aren't familiar let me give you a brief background. Remember the hoverboards last xmas?? The electric unicycle works on essentially the same principle (upside down pendulum theory) to achieve self balancing capability. The current offerings on the market just don't cut it, the plastics are basically thrown together around the requirements of a build, rather than incorporating the necessary components into the design for a smooth finish. I would like the final product to be somewhat futuristic/prototypish looking, maybe a bit sporty. You can get a feeling for whats out there by doing a google search for "electric unicycle". Integral to the design there are 3 requirements. 1.) Obviously the plastic fairing will need to have a cavity for the wheel, but in addition, it will need to subtly include a space for lipo batteries, (doesnt have to be in any particular shape however), and also must include spot for a pcb control board. Both of these items arent excessively large, the PCB is about 4X3 inches and the batteries are about 5X5X1 (but can be reconfigured). 2.) I would also like to incorporate into my design a headlight, and a tail light if possible, but most concerned with head light. Would also like to leave the option open to include small bluetooth speakers, however these would not take very much space at all. 3.) Finally, this design will need to have a retractable handle for balance when getting on/off.
Where there's muck there's brass
An alternative to picking up dog dropping with plastic bags. A cheap, easy to build, bio-degradeable design. It should, with a minimum of moving parts, (ideally 1-2 piece cardboard structure), pick up and enclose droppings. Should also include built in handle (reasonably distanced from holding section) Simplicity is key. As will need to be able to produce cheaply in large volumes. MUST BE MASS PRODUCEABLE for cost in the region of $1-2.
Chocolate Melangeur
I need a stone mill grinder powered by an electric motor. There will be two granite stones weighing circa 10 kg each that will spin on top a granite base, which weighs 15 kg. The base will be at the bottom of a stainless steel pan, which will also contain the 2 stones inside it. The pan will spin by the action of an electric engine/reductor, as its base will be locked on top a metal spinning disc connected to the engine/reductor shaft. The two stones will spin in opposite directions by the action of the spinning base. The stones need to apply a force on the base in order for them to fine ground cocoa bits. In order to that, a system of coils needs to be built so that a force can be applied on each stone. The stones and coil system will have to be easily detachable from the pan, as well as, the pan itself from the disc that holds it, so that chocolate can poured in another recipient.
