Description:
We want to make a silicone placemat for toddlers with extruding bowls (probably 3 bowls). The shape should be a dinosaur (maybe stegosaurus or t-rex). Please see attached elephant for an idea of what we are looking for. Simple yet elegant and appealing.

The mat size should be 10"x7.7"x1". The bowls should comprise most of the mat, besides perhaps a 1" to maybe 1/2" border. The edges should allow for spilling a drink and the liquid would not run onto the table. Past the raised edges though, the mat should slope down towards the table. The idea is that the toddler (or even adult really) cannot get his fingers underneath the mat because it slopes towards the table.

We also need a small credit card style tool to lift up the mat since it will basically be impossible to pull up from the table once you lay it down.
Wants:
We want a simple silicone placemat design of a dinosaur with 3 bowls that appeals to mothers shopping for their toddler boy.
Don't Wants:
Complex dinosaur shapes. It needs to be simple like the elephant.
Ask for Sample:
Yes, we would like perhaps a 2D sample first and then draw down from there.
Software:
  1. AutoCAD (Newest)

@Tony, Can you post any link to that news? Because there are few more manufacturers producing similar silicone mats.

I just want the project creator and maybe even CAD crowd to know that ezpz silicone mats were granted their utility Patent claims.

is my submittal. I have attached an AutoCad 2d view of it for viewing purposes. There is also a generic STEP file that can be loaded for molding purposes. I can make any changes you need

Of course, Solidworks can make any file extension for CAD, it is easier

To be honest I'm not very familiar. Can a factory in China load up and create a mold from a CAD file created in Solidworks?

Could the software be Solidworks?

Aluminum Foil and Plastic Wrap Dispenser
We are looking to create a 2-in-1 solution for a dispenser that hold a standard roll of aluminum foil and also standard roll of plastic wrap. The purpose is providing a clutter free, organized and practical solution in the kitchen for storing and use of aluminum foil and plastic wrap. The dispenser can be placed into most kitchen drawers with no issues of the drawer closing/opening or it can also be placed on the countertop making it blend into the kitchen surroundings. Current Problem Aluminum foil and plastic wrap rolls come in many lengths and widths, based on the brand. It would be great if the dispenser can be adjustable to fit the size of rolls being used. So it would have some partitions that can be adjusted or added on, taken off (ie. Lego like). Here are the dimensions of foil and plastic wrap for the most popular brands: Aluminum Foil Kirklands Brand 13.78” x 4.29” x 4.29”, 9lbs -> (this is the 12”x1000’ roll) Kirklands Brand 19.40” x 3.70” x 3.70”, 10.45 lbs --> (this is the 18”x500’ roll) Solimo Brand 12.00” x 2.10” x 2.10”, 2.40lbs --> (this is the 12”x250’ roll) Whole Foods Brand 12.50” x 1.90” x 1.90”, 0.70 lb --> (12”x75’ roll) Plastic Wrap Reynolds 13.54” x 2.40” x 2.17”, 0.71lbs --> (this is the 12”x225’ roll) Reynolds 13.66” x 4.09” x 3.9”, 2.73lbs --> (this is the 12”x1000’ roll) Reynolds 17.1” x 5.8” x 5.8”, 6.9lbs --> (this is the 15”x2000’ roll) Glad Cling Wrap Brand 12.50” x 2.50” x 2.30”, 0.73 lb --> (12”x200’ roll Kirklands Brand 14.96” x 6.02” x 5.83”, 8.8 lbs --> (this is the 12”x3000’ roll) Competitor Here is a link to a competitor. https://amzn.to/3NqfhWP Here are the main negative comments about this competitor product, so want to avoid these in the design: - Wood comes damaged with splits, cracks making it appear cheap quality (see video link) https://bit.ly/3yHjEbZ - - Does not fit the roll of foil or wrap being used (width and length of space is too small) - Plastic cutter that sits ontop is too short to cut the full length of the foil or wrap and jams (see video link) https://bit.ly/3Lr9FdB - Plastic cutter blades are always exposed
In-car vending machine
Hi, I need a technical drawing of a product idea that I would like to send to manufacture's so they can create a prototype. The idea is an in-car vending machine/box that can fit snacks and other small items. It needs to fit on the middle/center console of the car (example picture attached). I would want a box that is modern/techie. The box needs to be unique but similar to the example pictures I'm going to attach. Three main components: -Main box -Clear lid -Dividers Dimensions: -Length: 13 - 13.5 inches -Width: 8 inches -Height: 4 - 4.5 inches
Two-Piece Plastic Shot Glass Design with Screw Threads
(See attachment for figure drawings) Shot glass shape (will be plastic moldable) with sloped/curved upper region (Fig. C) 90mm in height, fully assembled (Fig. C) 52 mm diameter at the top; 35 mm diameter at the bottom (Fig. C) Desired wall thickness: 2 mm 2 pieces (Fig. A and Fig. B) screw together to form the item (Fig. C) Top piece (Fig. A): Height of 20 mm plus 5 mm male threads (we are flexible on the dimensions of the threads based on designer’s expertise) The brim should be rounded Bottom piece (Fig. B): Height of 70 mm includes 5 mm of corresponding inner female threads at the top The objective is to create an inner chamber when the two pieces are screwed together that will hold in a solid piece, but allow liquid to flow through. This should be achieved by having the bottoms of both pieces include a stylized, wavy “grate”. (Fig. D).
Simple TV Remote Case - Freelancer for Drafting CAD Drawings
I am looking for someone to design a case for a very simple TV remote. I need someone who can take a design from concept to finished manufacturing drawings. I will provide basic dimensions and design concept, but need someone to advise and draft it into reality.
