Contest Ended, Winner(s) have been selected.
Description:
(See attachment for figure drawings)Shot glass shape (will be plastic moldable) with sloped/curved upper region (Fig. C)
90mm in height, fully assembled (Fig. C)
52 mm diameter at the top; 35 mm diameter at the bottom (Fig. C)
Desired wall thickness: 2 mm
2 pieces (Fig. A and Fig. B) screw together to form the item (Fig. C)
Top piece (Fig. A):
Height of 20 mm plus 5 mm male threads (we are flexible on the dimensions of the threads based on designer’s expertise)
The brim should be rounded
Bottom piece (Fig. B):
Height of 70 mm includes 5 mm of corresponding inner female threads at the top
The objective is to create an inner chamber when the two pieces are screwed together that will hold in a solid piece, but allow liquid to flow through. This should be achieved by having the bottoms of both pieces include a stylized, wavy “grate”. (Fig. D).
Wants:
Design must be submitted in AutoCad .dwg, 3D only, or Autodesk Inventor .ipt with jpeg screen shots of the design so the files are easily viewable. There can be some design flexibility in the shape of the item or the "grate" at the bottom of the two pieces so you can differentiate your design from others. We're looking for a clean, modern design. A typical shot glass shape is great too. Keep it simple. It's also essential that the male and female screw threads work. We are looking for a functional product that we can 3D print and injection mold. We also intend to continue working with the design winner to perfect the design at an additional designer fee. We're looking forward to seeing the designs! Thanks for your submissions!

#26 Shot Glass v1
by neegyus
I've submited in the most common formats for injection molding.
Please pay attention to thickness on the thread zone (i was trying to make it more appealling and it is feasable, but depends on the material to be used). Also, you should decide how is it going to be made (injection mold wise) - the automatic unscrewing is expensive, the manual unscrewing gives too much man labor, and colapsible cores would imply design changes.

#29 Shot Glass v3

Here'as another model. This is an litle improvement to my v1. I like to do the models without the inside lump on the thread area (just like it more). There's also some clearance on the threads (minimal - check the 3D), that are suposed to allow a better functionality and tightening.
If you would like any other format, I think I can provide it for you, except the Autocad (don't work with it).

#2 Wave Shot-Artisteroi
by Steven
The 2 halfs. Upper half serving as the screen and the lower half the drink area. I took the liberty of making the lower "screen" a press in medallion. It can be changed out any number of ways with other logos medallions as well. I've seen them that have LED lights in the bottom also. Of course if it was an actual screen the glass would not hold liquid. I cant seem to post more than one picture though. I would show the wave logo I created is based on a yin-yang with a little surfer wave thrown in.

Silicone Toddler Placemat
We want to make a silicone placemat for toddlers with extruding bowls (probably 3 bowls). The shape should be a dinosaur (maybe stegosaurus or t-rex). Please see attached elephant for an idea of what we are looking for. Simple yet elegant and appealing.
The mat size should be 10"x7.7"x1". The bowls should comprise most of the mat, besides perhaps a 1" to maybe 1/2" border. The edges should allow for spilling a drink and the liquid would not run onto the table. Past the raised edges though, the mat should slope down towards the table. The idea is that the toddler (or even adult really) cannot get his fingers underneath the mat because it slopes towards the table.
We also need a small credit card style tool to lift up the mat since it will basically be impossible to pull up from the table once you lay it down.
Playful & Fun Inspired Taco Holder
We need you to redesign the look of the taco holder (photo attached) to be even cooler, sillier, ridiculous and something everyone would want in their pantry.
The most imaginative, hilarious and irresistible design wins!

Simple TV Remote Case - Freelancer for Drafting CAD Drawings
I am looking for someone to design a case for a very simple TV remote. I need someone who can take a design from concept to finished manufacturing drawings. I will provide basic dimensions and design concept, but need someone to advise and draft it into reality.
