The clearance on the top and bottom is 1/32 of an inch? Just double checking because that seems pretty small. It works out to roughly 0.8mm. I have it all reverse engineered just want to make sure the numbers are right before I start the design process.

It is not clear to me if you are asking for a case (used only during transport) or a cover that will remain in place during the use.
I would like to have a drawing of the instrument where I can get measurements, to know the position of lids and displays, etc.
I understand that you are the manufacturer of the device and you are asking for an accesory that will be manufactured in series of tens. Or is it thousands?

@NXTGear

The protective material cannot restrict the field of view of the middle of the instrument. It also has to allow the battery cover and the SD card cover to pivot open. The video should indicate these areas to be avoided.

Thx!

@ Cad Geek

1. I would like to see the hand grips on the edges surrounding the touchscreen and the battery cover.

2. When the scanner is in operation, it is not held in the hands of the operator. It is mounted to a tripod. The hand grips are merely to assist the operator when they take the scanner out of the travel case and mount it onto the tripod.

Are there any restriction on where protective material can be added that would disrupt the function of the device? Except for the screen that is

1. Do you have an idea on where you like the hand grips to go? 2. How is the device held (which orientation) touch screen facing the user?
