We provide a residential scholarship program for economically disadvantaged students that combines a comprehensive, internationally competitive education with an innovative STEM and entrepreneurship curriculum. Liger believes a meaningful investment in the right few will change the lives of many.

    As the Engineering/Technology facilitator at the Liger Learning Center, my role was to facilitate engineering and technology knowledge to high school students in order to run community development projects through the school's project based learning platform. My role also included instilling the makerspace culture into the school to inspire making and invention. Topics taught include design thinking, engineering drafting and CAD modeling, robotics and electronics.
  • Lead Mechanical Design Engineer ARC Hub PNH · Apr 2015 – Oct 2015 6 mos Phnom Penh, Cambodia Responsible for mechanical design and development of local projects and prototyping with 3D printers. Projects included the design and prototype of a bio-digester made out of plastic for rural use as well as the design and prototyping of a Recyclebot in an effort to create value from waste in the form of 3D printing filament.
  • Mechanical R&D Engineer (Product Development) Maco Lighting · Dec 2012 – Nov 2014 1 yrs 11 mos Berlin, Germany Product Development projects incorporate the complete design process, including:

    -Design Failure mode and effects analysis.
    -Development of appropriate design and optimisation, submitting for design review with renderings created in Creo Elements/Pro.
    -The selection and use of appropriate materials.
    -Using FEA techniques under Creo to optimise the design.
    -Submission of the design for moldflow analysis, checking; gate, shrinkage, sink marks, warpage and cooling quality.
    -Creation of component and assembly drawings and bill of materials.
    -Creation of Wiki with detailed compliance information and design calculations.
    -Release of components for prototype release (rapid prototypes).
    -Approvals and tooling release.

    Experience included moving to China over a 2 month period to see over the first releases of products that were developed in Australia.
