- Manufacturing Engineer Collins Aerospace · Internship Jan 2026 – Oct 2026 9 mos Houten, Netherlands Developed and validated a finite element simulation workflow to predict wrinkle formation during the stamp forming of continuous-fibre thermoplastic composites. Using Altair RADIOSS, I modelled complex material behaviour and manufacturing-induced defects, comparing numerical predictions with experimental results. I then integrated Altair HyperStudy to perform Design of Experiments (DoE) and sensitivity analyses, identifying the manufacturing parameters that most strongly influence defect formation and supporting process optimisation.
- Simulation Egineer Collins Aerospace · Internship Sep 2025 – Dec 2025 3 mos Houten, Netherlands Developed a numerical workflow linking injection moulding simulations to structural analysis in OptiStruct. Transferred predicted fibre orientation tensors into finite element models to capture the anisotropic behaviour of short-fibre thermoplastic composites and assess how manufacturing conditions influence structural performance.
