About
Architectural: floor plans, site plans, elevations, sections, roof plans, reflected ceiling plans, construction details, permit and building approval sets, as-built documentation.
Structural: framing plans, footing and slab layouts, connection details, member schedules, reinforcement detailing.
Joinery and millwork: shop drawings, cabinet elevations, setout plans, carcass sections, hardware and finish schedules.
Product and fabrication: part drawings, assembly drawings, exploded views, GD&T, sheet metal flat patterns, weldments, cut lists.
Conversion work: PDF, scan or hand sketch to fully editable CAD. Redrawing legacy drawings to current standards.
3D: modelling from 2D documentation, visualisation and rendering, model coordination.
Software
[AutoCAD, Archicad, Revit, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Twinmotion, Illustrator — list only what you genuinely use.]
How I work
I start by confirming what the drawings are actually for — a builder quoting, a council submission, a fabricator cutting material — because each needs different information on the sheet. I’ll tell you upfront if something in the brief won’t work, rather than drawing it and letting you find out later.
I work to your title block, layering and drawing conventions if you have them, or to a clean standard set if you don’t. Dimensions run from fixed datums rather than cumulatively, so errors don’t compound across a run.
Who I work with
Architects and designers needing documentation capacity. Builders and fabricators needing drawings they can build from. Product designers needing manufacturing-ready files. Homeowners and small businesses needing permit drawings.
Files and handover
You receive editable source files alongside PDFs — DWG, [or your formats] — so the work stays yours and whoever picks it up next isn’t starting again.

Freelance technical drafting and design for architectural, structural and product projects, working with clients across Australia and internationally since [year].
Architectural documentation — site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, roof and reflected ceiling plans, construction details, and permit sets prepared for council submission. Work ranges from residential alterations and additions to outdoor structures including carports, patios, pergolas and alfresco areas. Also produce as-built documentation and redraw legacy or hand-drawn sets to current standards.
Structural detailing — framing plans, footing and slab layouts, connection details, member schedules with sizes, spans and spacings, and reinforcement detailing. Drawings are prepared for review and certification by a registered engineer where a project requires it.
Joinery and millwork — shop drawings for fitted furniture and cabinetry: plans, elevations for each face, carcass sections, hardware and finish schedules, and setout dimensioned from fixed datums with scribe allowances built in.
Product and fabrication — part and assembly drawings, exploded views, dimensioned manufacturing drawings and cut lists, prepared so a fabricator can quote and build without coming back with questions.
Conversion and modelling — PDF, scan or hand sketch to fully editable CAD. 3D modelling from 2D documentation, and visualisation where a client needs to see the result rather than read it.
How I work. I confirm what the drawings are for before starting — a builder quoting, a council submission, a fabricator cutting material — because each needs different information on the sheet. I work to a client’s own title block, layering and drawing conventions where they have them, and to a clean standard set where they don’t. If something in a brief won’t work, I raise it before drawing rather than after.
Deliverables. Editable source files alongside PDFs, so the work stays yours and the next person to touch it isn’t starting from scratch.
