About
PROFILE
Biomedical engineer and current PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), with a background in
biomechanics, wearable motion sensing, computational modeling, and finite-element/multiphysics simulation. Experience includes IMUbased motion tracking, AHRS sensor fusion, Kalman filtering, COMSOL Multiphysics, ANSYS, and CATIA training. Interested in
mechanical design, simulation-led engineering, biomechanical systems, and translating engineering requirements into measurable modeling
and verification workflows.
CURRENT DOCTORAL STUDY
PhD Student, Mechanical Engineering | Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Famagusta, Northern Cyprus | Fall 2026–present
Currently undertaking doctoral coursework and developing a research direction in mechanical engineering. Academic contact/reference:
Assoc. Prof. Babak Safaei, EMU Mechanical Engineering .
RESEARCH & PROJECT EXPERIENCE
IMU-Based State Estimation for Human Motion Tracking — BSc Thesis | Islamic Azad University, Mashhad | 2019
Developed an AHRS-based motion-tracking pipeline using MPU6050 IMU data, processing accelerometer and gyroscope
measurements to estimate orientation and movement parameters.
Implemented Kalman filtering and sensor-fusion methods to reduce noise and drift in orientation estimates, supporting a low-cost
wearable motion-tracking system.
Computational Modeling of Hydrodynamic Cavitation in Microfluidic Systems — MSc Thesis | Iran University of Science and
Technology | 2022 | Supervisor: Prof. M. Navidbakhsh
Built COMSOL Multiphysics simulations to investigate hydrodynamic cavitation in microfluidic geometries for cell-lysis applications.
Analyzed flow behavior and pressure distributions to investigate cavitation behavior and support interpretation of the modeled physical
system.
Wearable Movement Assessment for Clinical Populations — Volunteer | Fayazbakhsh Rehabilitation Center
Contributed to IMU-based movement-assessment activities for neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation populations, with an
emphasis on wearable movement data and functional assessment.
EDUCATION
MSc, Biomedical Engineering — Biomechanics | Iran University of Science and Technology | 2019–2022 | GPA: 14.46/20
