About

I am an Automotive Engineering student with several years of practical experience as an automotive mechanic and a strong interest in mechanical design and CAD. I work with SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor and can help with 3D modelling, assemblies, technical drawings, design modifications and mechanical components.

Through my Automotive Engineering studies and practical projects, I have gained experience with structural design, FEM/FEA, vehicle testing and mechanical engineering. During my internship at Nooteboom Trailers, I designed a production fixture for manufacturing chassis beams for semi-trailers.

I am available for part-time remote projects and am interested in helping clients turn concepts, sketches or existing parts into accurate and functional CAD models.

Experience

PRODUCTION ENGINEER Nooteboom Trailers Wijchen · Internship Sep 2025 – Jan 2026 4 mos Wijchen, Netherlands During my internship at Nooteboom Trailers, a manufacturer of semi-trailers, I worked within the Production Engineering department. My main project involved designing and developing a production fixture for chassis beams using Autodesk Inventor. I worked extensively with sheet metal design and prepared and validated designs for laser cutting and bending. This gave me practical experience in CAD, design for manufacturing, technical problem-solving and developing practical solutions for a real industrial production environment.

Education

HAN University of applied sciences Automotive Engineering, Bachelor degree, 7.8 2023 – 2027 (expected) Activities and Societies: Student assistant / workshop teacher – Statics Minor Mechatronics at FHV Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences Bachelor of Automotive Engineering at HAN University of Applied Sciences, specialising in Structural Design.

During my studies, I have developed practical and theoretical experience in mechanical engineering, automotive design and structural engineering. My education includes CAD design, SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor, FEM/FEA, vehicle testing, MATLAB/Simulink, mechanics and technical engineering.

I have worked on various automotive and mechanical engineering projects, including vehicle testing and structural design projects. Alongside my studies, I have also supported first-year Automotive Engineering students by teaching statics workshops.

I am currently broadening my knowledge through a minor in Mechatronics at FHV Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences in Austria, focusing on areas such as programming, electronics, hydraulics and mechatronic systems.

Other experience

MECHANIC I have been working on cars and motorcycles since the age of 14 and started working professionally as an automotive mechanic at 16. I have gained several years of hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and troubleshooting.

Since starting my Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, I have continued working part-time as a mechanic alongside my studies. This combination of practical workshop experience and engineering education has given me a strong understanding of both the technical and practical aspects of automotive engineering.
