Experience

  • Motorcycle Designer Art&Math · Contract Apr 2026 – Present 5 mos Cambridge, UK Art&Math is a specialist motorcycle and automotive design studio I've been contracting with for the past two years. Work covers production CTG, sketching and AI-assisted early ideation under NDA for OEM and private clients across motorcycle and agricultural vehicle programmes. My production CTG work is about to land on a high-visibility OEM release.

    • Production CTG designer on the TVS Apache 20th Anniversary Edition.
    • Lead industrial designer on ZeTrack, an electric farming tractor unveiled at Agritechnica 2025 and heading into production.
    • Ran AI-assisted early ideation on an OEM brief, widening the concept set available at first engineering review.
    • Delivered NDA design work across concurrent OEM and automotive briefs to programme timelines.
  • Founder & Industrial Designer LR Design · Self-employed Nov 2020 – Present 5 yrs 10 mos Cambridge, UK I founded LR Design to deliver industrial design across mobility, robotics, and complex products — supporting companies from early concept through to production-ready hardware.

Working independently with startups, scale-ups, and venture-backed teams, I focus on translating complex engineering systems into clear, manufacturable, and commercially viable products.

Over the last two years, the work has increasingly centred around robotics and field-deployed systems. Dogtooth Technologies has been the anchor project, alongside early-stage design and branding for 4AG, and a range of confidential mobility and industrial clients.
The projects share a pattern. Mechanically complex, field-deployed, and with a commercial story to tell alongside the engineering. My job is to give them a resolved, desirable form without glossing over the engineering constraints.

    • Took Dogtooth's Gen5 fruit-picking robot from prototype to production hardware over fourteen months. Now working commercial growers across the UK and Europe.
    • Resolved sensor and enclosure integration, IP-rated modular housings serviceable by field technicians, and CMF tuned for dust, humidity and long polytunnel shifts.
    • Early-stage design direction and branding for 4AG, widening the practice's footprint in agricultural robotics.
    • Gen5 design work carries Dogtooth's investor materials and product marketing across successive funding rounds.

Across these programmes, my role typically spans form development, CMF, design for manufacture, and the integration of engineering requirements into a coherent final product.

Alongside client work, I co-founded Veridis, a coachbuilt electric motorcycle brand currently progressing toward low-volume production.
  • Motorcycle Designer Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. · Contract Jan 2023 – Feb 2026 3 yrs 1 mos Coventry, UK Thirteen months in Ola Electric's UK studio under design lead Dan Kafka, working on early concepts across the two-wheel portfolio. I sat in the team as motorcycle specialist and led a confidential motorcycle programme through the first half of 2023. My production credit is the graphics package on the S1 X scooter, now running in market.

First time working inside a large EV company at scale, which sharpened the way I move between sketching, Alias and stakeholder review without the design drifting in the process.

    • Production graphics on the Ola S1 X scooter, now on vehicles in market.
    • Led the UK studio's confidential motorcycle programme through the first half of 2023.
    • Produced Alias and Photoshop studies from sketch to CAD handover, working with modellers and engineers.
  • Designer MOKE International · Freelance Jan 2023 – Sep 2023 8 mos Cambridge, UK Ad-hoc CTG design for MOKE's brand and film collaboration projects, run remotely alongside my Ola Electric role and reporting into senior marketing. The standout brief was a one-off MOKE built for the Matthew Vaughn's feature film Argylle, for which I designed the livery. I also contributed CTG work to the Roarsome campaign.

    • Livery designer on the one-off MOKE built for the feature film Argylle.
    • CTG design on the Roarsome brand campaign.
    • Produced client-facing presentations in Photoshop and InDesign for senior stakeholder review.
  • Designer ARC Vehicle · Contract Mar 2021 – Aug 2022 1 yrs 5 mos Coventry, UK Contracted through LR Design to Arc Vehicle, a British premium electric motorcycle brand. I developed CMF proposals for the flagship Arc Vector, extended the brand guidelines with a competitor benchmarking study, and ran a structured LinkedIn content programme that more than doubled Arc's follower base during the contract.

Arc was a small team with a large ambition, and the remit moved across pencil sketches, brand positioning and social strategy inside the same week. It taught me how to carry design work through a company that does not have specialists for every discipline.

    • CMF proposals for the Arc Vector motorcycle, informing the bike's launch identity.
    • Extended Arc's brand guidelines, with a competitor benchmarking study used across the team.
    • More than doubled Arc's LinkedIn following during the contract through a structured content programme.
