About
Mechanical design engineer with over ten years of R&D experience gained in demanding industrial environments: automotive (Maserati and Alfa Romeo), Oil & Gas, Railway and Pro Audio. I handle mechanical design end to end, from concept to detailed manufacturing drawings, taking care of every stage: requirements analysis, parametric 3D modeling, drafting and validation.
I have advanced command of the industry's leading CAD platforms. Siemens NX is my primary tool, where I work on complex parametric assemblies, surface and solid modeling, and full drawing production, with data and BOM management in Teamcenter. I am equally proficient in SolidWorks for parametric part and assembly design, sheet metal, weldments and detailed 2D documentation, and I also work confidently in Inventor, Fusion 360 and Creo.
On the simulation side, I perform both analytical hand calculations and FEM analysis in ANSYS to verify strength, stiffness, fatigue life and overall structural performance. I run static, modal and non-linear studies to validate designs before production, complemented by acoustic simulation (COMSOL) and thermal/fluid-dynamic analysis where needed.
I own a 3D printer and produce functional prototypes in-house, quickly turning concepts into physical parts to test fit, form and function before committing to tooling or CNC machining. I also develop dedicated software and scripts to automate recurring calculations and parametric sizing, and I manage product certification (CE, UL/ETL, CB Scheme). I have deep knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes — plastics and metals, injection molding, casting, CNC machining and rapid prototyping — designing with constant attention to manufacturability and cost (design to cost).
As a freelancer I am an autonomous, reliable technical partner, available for both one-off projects and ongoing collaborations, with one clear goal: to deliver optimized, validated, production-ready solutions.
