About
I am an Industrial Designer and Product Designer with a strong focus on CAD/CAM, CNC manufacturing, 3D modelling, and design for manufacture.
I hold a BA in Industrial Design from the University of Johannesburg and combine creative product development with practical manufacturing knowledge. I am experienced in developing concepts from initial sketches and 3D models through to technical drawings, CNC-ready files, toolpaths, prototypes, and final production.
My skills include 3D CAD modelling, product development, CNC toolpath creation, VCarve/Aspire workflows, 2D vector preparation, CNC routing, laser cutting, furniture and lighting design, manufacturing drawings, cut lists, and material-efficient design.
I understand CNC cutting tools, machining strategies, feeds, depths, tool selection, and how design decisions affect real-world manufacturing. This allows me to create designs that are not only visually appealing but also practical and efficient to manufacture.
I can assist with:
* Product and industrial design
* 3D CAD modelling
* CNC CAD/CAM and toolpath preparation
* CNC-ready 2D vector files
* Furniture and interior product design
* Lighting and decorative product design
* Technical and manufacturing drawings
* Design for Manufacture (DFM)
* Prototyping and product development
* Cut lists and production preparation
My goal is to help clients turn ideas, sketches, reference images, or existing designs into accurate, manufacturable products and production-ready files.
