I build CFD models you can make design decisions on.
Internal and external flows in OpenFOAM and Ansys Fluent: turbulence and wall modelling, boundary layers, drag prediction, multiphase and free-surface problems, and meshing that resolves what actually matters. Results come validated against experimental data where it exists, with a clear statement of how much confidence each number deserves.
Typical projects: setting up a case from CAD through to results; fixing a simulation that will not converge or gives results you do not trust; mesh and inflation-layer generation; grid sensitivity and verification studies; and turning simulation output into something a non-specialist team can act on.
Background: PhD in CFD from the University of Edinburgh, working with AkzoNobel on wall models for rough surfaces. The method I developed is used in their internal RANS testing framework. MSc in CFD from Cranfield University, Distinction. I run large parallel jobs on national HPC systems and write my own solver modifications when the standard ones do not fit.
Happy to start with a small paid pilot so you can judge the work before committing to anything larger.
