• Senior Mechanical Engineer Russian Nuclear Agency "Rosatom" · Full-time Feb 2013 – Present 13 yrs 3 mos Russia Leading mechanical design for experimental equipment and test facilities for advanced nuclear reactors, including lead-cooled fast reactor (LFR) technology and liquid-metal systems.
  Owned the mechanical design of electromagnetic (MHD) pumps for molten lead and Na-K, from concepts and requirements through detailed CAD models, manufacturing drawings, procurement support and prototype delivery.
  Designed and brought to prototype stage a linear induction MHD pump for molten lead
  Developed pressure-retaining and vacuum vessels (including high-pressure test vessels) for nuclear experimental rigs, accounting for thermal stresses, fatigue, weld details and maintainability.
  
  Designed liquid-metal thermal-hydraulic loops (lead, Na-K) including piping, valves, heat exchangers, electrical heaters, measurement sections and support structures.
  Performed FEA and CFD in ANSYS to validate and optimize designs:
  Structural analysis
  Thermal analyses of heated components and insulation systems
  Fluid and thermal-hydraulic simulations for liquid-metal flows and heat transfer in test loops and MHD channels.
  
  
  Generated and reviewed engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation, using GD&T principles, ensuring fabricability, inspectability and alignment with internal and regulatory requirements.
  Worked closely with workshop technicians and test engineers during assembly, installation and commissioning of prototypes; resolved design issues and implemented rapid design iterations based on test feedback.
  Supported prototype builds and test setup integration; resolved assembly nonconformities and implemented design changes.
  Liaised with external suppliers and fabrication shops.
