Forage Form Lures is a new, Canadian-based swimbait company focused on the rapid development and prototyping of segmented, hyper-realistic, functional fishing lures.
We are dedicated to building high-performance swimbaits that mimic regional baitfish (the "forage form"). Our business strategy involves bypassing traditional, slow, hand-sculpting methods by utilizing AI image generation for concept speed and leveraging professional CAD expertise for technical execution.
Why We Need CAD Expertise:
We are looking for partners who understand that a swimbait is a precision mechanical tool, not just a pretty shape. Our designs require strict adherence to specific, functional tolerances for manufacturing:
Segment Mechanics: Precise joint design, pin sizing, and segment-to-segment clearance are critical for the desired swimming action.
Weight Placement: Internal geometry must account for balancing weights (e.g., lead/tungsten) to ensure proper sink rate and posture.
Manufacturability: Final designs must be optimized for 3D printing and subsequent mold creation, minimizing material waste and post-processing time. This includes clean hook hanger slots and hardware channels.
Essentially, we need CAD files that move seamlessly from concept to prototype, guaranteeing a functional, high-performing product. We’re here to work collaboratively to save time and minimize waste on design iterations that don't meet our functional requirements.
