About
Spalsh completed his architectural studies at the University of Cape Town (UCT) and continued to further his studies in computer animation, doing a number of projects in the commercial and film industry.
He was the lead animator on a National Geographic funded documentary production, which was selected into competition at the Berlinale Short Film category in Germany.
Spalsh was recently chosen to design the Subterranean exhibit at the West Coast Fossil Park, which consisted of an over scaled world beneath the earth, with sculptures of giant anteaters, mole rats and other creatures, all designed by himself and realised with a team of skilled fabricators.
In 2024 he completed work on a 3D paper sculpture for the Cabrito tequila brand for the public launch of their latest collaborative event.
