I am a Mechanical Engineering major at Ohio State University, and I lead the Drivetrain team for the OSU Baja SAE team. I have completed design projects for Baja from initial design concept to manual and CNC machining, so I understand design for manufacture principles I have also completed some small personal 3D printing projects.

I began my career in the CNC machining industry. I spent 7 years as a CNC machinist/programmer. I first encountered SolidWorks while working as a Machinist. I decided to move into mechanical design. I began taking classes in pursuit of a degree in Mechanical Engineering. While in school I took a position with a company that manufactures Roll Forming equipment. I worked as an Equipment designer for 3 years before accepting a Design Engineer position with a manufacturer of Industrial Pneumatic Tools. I worked my way up to Plant Manager and helped the company prosper for 4 years before we were purchased by our largest competitor. I still work for the new owners on a part time/remote basis. My role is mainly new product design and occasionally support of existing products.
