She finished her Architecture degree in Mapua University ,Philippines and was an exchange student in Lulea tekniska universitet,Sweden (Architecture and industrial design studies). Her enthusiastic process in design brought her in the local and international stage as she won various competitions. Gecolea received a special grant of training in different Italian design companies as one of the prizes when she won in Italy (2016). Her training in product and furniture design from Sweden and Italy helps her unlock another talents as she handles the FF& E of a 5 star hotel project in manila and winning various product design competitions. Her early experience in career started at WTA Architecture & design studio. Where she was exposed and trained in multidisciplinary studio practice specializing on social architecture. She specialized in Hospitality & Retail projects. Gecolea was also work as freelance designer for client from Sweden, New York (Manila based project), Saudi Arabia, Italy , UK (Africa based project) and Netherlands.
