I am a recent graduate in Architecture from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and have professional experience in both the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon, providing me with a deep understanding of the region’s architectural context and design typologies.
During my concept design internship at Khatib & Alami in the U.A.E, I engaged in projects centered around conceptual and functional design, spatial research, and presentation development for religious and government owned buildings. My responsibilities included editing and developing multiple plan iterations, conducting architectural research for mosque designs, and producing presentations, which all aligned with client requirements and cultural context. Likewise, at The Courtyard in Lebanon, I gained hands-on experience in villa and landscape design. My tasks included drafting AutoCAD drawings as well as developing and translating client needs into spatial and material design concepts.
At the University of Michigan, my academic projects explored architecture beyond convention through abstraction, materiality, spatial experience, and human interaction. Alongside iterative modeling and diagrams, site analysis, and conceptual representation, the projects demonstrate skills in design ideation, material studies, spatial prototyping, and physical and 3D modeling. The approach to each project is through a design-thinking methodology that integrates research, visualization, and iteration to produce thoughtful and design-oriented spatial experiences.
