Hi there! I'm an 18 year old self taught hard surface modeller from London who's aspiring to work in the vfx industry upon completing my portfolio. I very much enjoy 3D modelling and using kit-bash assets to create renders of my own. Right now I mainly use blender for my 3D models, as that's the 3D modelling software i'm most proficient in, however I am slowly transitioning to using Maya and Arnold for some of my renders. Having graduated from university with a product design qualification I established myself as a freelance designer helping companies and individuals develop their products and ideas into 3D and creating parts ready for manufacture or prototype. Two years ago I co-foundered a technical design agency offering creative and technical support. We've worked with some big names such as Samsung, Lotus, Dyson, Courvoisier, Pelican, and Softbox to help develop point of sale stands, and product ranges. A master’s graduate with First Class Honours in Advanced Mechanical Engineering from University of Leicester, United Kingdom. During my masters, I had a module based on CAD modelling using Solid Works, where I had successfully submitted a CAD model of an spur gear. Also, had carried out stress analysis on the modelled part. This module has given me an overall proficiency of SolidWorks and capability to work on any task individually. At the same time, I have hands on experience with Matlab. I have successfully presented many Matlab simulated programs using various programming algorithms. For my masters project which was based on ‘Co-deposition of nickel-SiC using Pulse reverse plating techniques to produce nano composites’. Majority of the work was undertaken at the university which made me utilize all the resources and advanced technological equipment like scanning electron microscopy. After course completion, I have worked as a Teaching Assistant in the department of engineering. I have assisted in demonstrating mechanical oriented first year labs concerning flow measurements in pipes, and electrical oriented labs based on circuit design and analysis using P Spice. Also, assisted in second year labs helping students to learn about material selection in devices using CES Edupack software, as well as different engineering materials micro structural properties and processing. I’m a hardworking mechanical engineer, passionate about finding efficient solutions to challenging problems. I am currently looking for a junior position as a design engineer where I can use my skills and knowledge of physics and CAD software and continue to learn about the industry. I have plenty of experience with SolidWorks, which I use as my main tool, but can easily adapt to any software. I am a fast learner, quick on my feet and always willing to go the extra mile. Having completed three years at university and a 15 month industry placement, I have developed strong CAD skills, specifically using SolidWorks. During my degree I modelled multiple parts which include: an aerospace landing mechanism, a turboprop propeller with gears and casing, and a Cessna 172 wing with various wing tip designs. Whilst on my 15 month industry placement, working for a precision engineering company, I would use SolidWorks on a daily basis in order to create a 3D model from an engineering drawing. Modifications would often be needed to the model in order for the part to be machinable on the CNC machines.
