Having completed my Bachelors and Master’s Degrees in Architecture (Professional) at the University of The Witwatersrand in 2016, I now have over 5 years’ experience working in the field using a combination of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD software for technical drawing and combining these with Sketchup, Lumion, Photoshop and InDesign for conceptual development and presentations. For several years I have been working as a Project Architect at a local architectural firm, where I lead a team responsible for various residential, industrial, and commercial projects. From small-scale interior design jobs of a hundred square meters to significant commercial developments of thousands of square meters, I ensured no design problem was without a solution. While I have enjoyed this role as Project Architect, recently I have been interested in furthering my knowledge and experience by exploring freelance opportunities (both locally and internationally). My years of work thus far, have given me experience in conceptual design, bespoke detailing, and technical resolution. I also have a deep passion for construction, "making" and understanding how things fit together. I believe great architectural design is fundamentally about story telling. I always aim to design buildings that, when stripped bare of all artifice, have spatial flows that are functional, structures that are beautiful and relationships to their surroundings that are timeless.
