About the job
Project Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Lighting Designer / Electrical Engineer to create a professional lighting design and photometric calculation report using DIALux evo for
[a multi-story commercial/shopping/residential building for its 3 levels of carpark and ramp in/out and ramp down/up only.]
The goal of this project is to optimize light levels, ensure compliance with relevant lighting standards (Singapore standard SS 531-1:2006 (2019) (Code of Practice for Lighting of Work Places) & SS530), and provide visual 3D renders along with technical calculation reports.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
Import site floor plans (DWG/DXF/PDF) into DIALux evo and construct accurate 3D spatial models.
Select and apply appropriate luminaire files (.IES / .LDT) from specified manufacturer.
Conduct complete photometric calculations, including:
Average illuminance levels (Lux / Foot-candles) on workplanes and floors.
Uniformity ratios (U_0).
Unified Glare Ratings (UGR) / glare metrics.
Energy consumption and power density indicators.
Produce a final, clean PDF export report and supply the raw DIALux evo working file upon completion.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in DIALux evo (portfolio required).
Proficiency in reading AutoCAD (.DWG) files.
Deep understanding of photometric data (.IES / .LDT files) and lighting standards (EN 12464, IESNA, or regional codes).
Strong communication skills and ability to turn around revisions within...

Strong communication skills and ability to turn around revisions within agreed timelines.
Key Deliverables
DIALux Calculation Report (PDF):
Summary overview page.
False-color / heatmap illuminance distribution views.
Luminaire schedule & technical specs.
UGR / Glare calculations and calculation grid tables.
3D Visualizations: High-quality DIALux 3D renderings showing light distribution.
Source Files: Fully editable .evo project file and CAD layout with fixture positioning.
How to Apply
When submitting your proposal, please include:
A link to your portfolio or examples of previous DIALux evo reports/renderings.
Your estimated turnover time for a project of this scope.
Answers to the following screening questions:
Question 1: Which version of DIALux do you primarily use, and how many years of experience do you have with it?
Question 2: Do you have access to major manufacturer catalogs or experience importing custom .IES files?
