About the job
The objective of this study is to perform comprehensive ETAP simulations and analyses to support the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) of a new 115/33–13.8kV Primary Substation to be connected to the existing 380/115kV BSP.
The ETAP studies aim to validate the electrical network design by assessing load flow, short-circuit levels, protection coordination, and system stability under normal and contingency conditions. The study will ensure reliable integration of the new substation with the existing BSP, verify equipment ratings and system performance, and confirm compliance with SEC standards and project requirements.
In addition, a site visit to the existing BSP will be conducted to verify available spare capacity, assess existing system conditions, and confirm the accuracy of input data used in the ETAP model, ensuring realistic and reliable study results.
SAEP-148, Mandatory Engineering Standards and Codes, is used for the design of the facilities. Saudi Electricity Regulation Authority and Saudi Electricity Engineering Standards are used for the design of the new electrical network.
DELIVERABLES 9.1. RFQ Stage
• Technical proposal for review by SLFE • Commercial proposal of Power System Studies
• Commercial proposal of Power System Stability Study
• Commercial proposal of Switching Transient Analysis, TRV evaluation and Insulation Coordination Studies
• Project Schedule
