About the job
Technical Brief: Snap-On Honeycomb Curtain Spacer
Project Overview:
I am developing a premium curtain accessory designed to maintain uniform pleats/folds behind eyelet/grommet curtains. I need a 3D CAD model (STEP and STL formats) optimized for both 3D printing (Nylon PA12) and future injection molding (Polypropylene).
1. Critical Dimensions & Fit:
* Rod Compatibility: Designed for a standard 1-inch (25.4mm) and 1.5-inch (38mm) diameter rod. (Please provide two versions of the file).
* Snap-On Opening: The "C" opening should be approximately 75-80% of the rod diameter to allow for a secure "snap" fit without being too difficult to remove.
* Lengths needed: I require three fixed-length files: 5cm (Small), 8cm (Medium), and 12cm (Large).
2. Design Features:
* Aesthetic (Outer): A "skeletonized" honeycomb or hexagonal lattice structure. Walls should be thick enough for structural integrity but thin enough to look high-end.
* Surface Geometry: The outer edges must be rounded/filleted to ensure they do not snag or tear delicate curtain fabrics.
* Internal Grip: The inner surface (that touches the rod) should feature a low-profile textured pattern (similar to a pebble grain or small ribs) to provide friction and prevent sliding.
3. Material Requirements (for Designer's Consideration):
* The part must be able to flex open and "spring back" to its original shape.
* Wall thickness should be optimized for Polypropylene (PP) injection molding (typical range of 1.5...

4. Deliverables:
* 3D CAD files in .STEP (for manufacturing) and .STL (for 3D printing) formats.
* A basic technical drawing showing all major dimensions.
