We are looking for an experienced CAD Design Engineer (m/f/d) to support a small but technically interesting retrofit project, starting immediately.
Project Scope:
The goal of this project is to redesign an existing machine by converting the current belt drive system into a direct drive solution using a different gearbox. The gearbox and motor have already been selected and defined.
The work will be based on provided 3D scan data of the existing machine, ensuring accurate integration of the new drive concept into the current structure and installation space.
Project Details:
Start: Immediately
Duration: Approx. 20–25 hours
Location: 100% Remote
Basis: Existing 3D scan data + defined motor and gearbox
Deliverables: CAD design for the mechanical integration and required modifications
Key Tasks:
Integrate the defined motor and gearbox into the existing machine layout
Replace the belt drive concept with a direct drive arrangement
Design mounting interfaces, brackets, and required mechanical adaptations
Ensure feasibility for manufacturing and assembly
Requirements:
Strong experience in mechanical CAD design (machine retrofit / redesign)
Confident handling of 3D models and ideally 3D scan data
