Position Summary
The Senior Engineer is responsible for coordinating engineering and design legalization activities for the Tulkubash Gold Project. The role serves as a key interface between international design firms, local adaptation institutes, government authorities, and the project construction team. The Senior Engineer ensures compliance with Kyrgyz regulatory standards, maintains project schedules, and supports safe, efficient, and cost-effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate engineering activities performed by international and local design organizations under the direction of the Technical Manager / Project Manager.
Manage and oversee in-country legalization of design packages, including heap leach facilities, shift camp, basic and detailed engineering documentation, and open pit design.
Ensure all legalization processes are completed in accordance with the master project schedule.
Research and interpret Kyrgyz regulatory standards (GOST, SNiP) and support acquisition of construction permits.
Prepare official correspondence to government agencies and design organizations.

Inspect field conditions and identify risks, inaccuracies, and improvement opportunities.
Support quality assurance and quality control impleentation.
Maintain and manage the project risk register, including participation in HAZID and HAZOP reviews.
Manage and coordinate local design firms and adaptation institutes.
Develop and maintain detailed adaptation/legalization schedules and report progress.
Establish effective collaboration between local and international stakeholders.
Verify qualifications of adaptation teams and recommend additional expertise when required.
Obtain all required local construction permits.
Support development of engineering systems and procedures.
Promote safe, efficient, and budget-conscious execution of work.
Participate in internal and external meetings as required.
Translate design documentation into Russian when necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 12 years of experience in industrial or mining project engineering.
Proven experience in legalization of international engineering documentation in Kyrgyz Republic.
Strong knowledge of Kyrgyz construction regulations (GOST, SNiP).
Experience coordinating international and local design teams.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Fluent English and Russian (written and spoken).
Ability to travel and work in remote high-altitude locations (2,200–3,200 m).
