About the job
Overview
I’m building an outdoor sensor node split into three sub-assemblies: mic/sensor head, computer box, and power box. I have a BOM and overall concept. I want one engineer who can handle both mechanical CAD and electrical wiring documentation so a technician can assemble the prototype without guessing.
What I need you to deliver
Mechanical (CAD + build-ready files)
• 3D CAD for the three enclosures (and key internal mounting features)
• Connector/cable gland cutouts and placement
• Cable routing intent, strain relief approach, serviceability considerations
• Manufacturing-ready outputs (STEP + drawings for fabrication/3D print/CNC as appropriate)
Electrical (wiring package)
• System block diagram (power + data flow between the 3 boxes)
• Wiring diagrams per box (internal wiring + external interconnects)
• Connector pinouts + cable/harness schedule (labels, shielding notes)
• Basic assembly + test checklist (continuity/polarity, power-up steps)
Output format
• CAD: STEP + native editable files (your CAD tool), plus 2D drawings where needed
• Electrical docs: PDF + editable source
Ideal background
• Experience with rugged/outdoor enclosures (sealing, glands, strain relief)
• Practical wiring/harness documentation skills (low-voltage DC, grounding/shielding basics)
• Portfolio showing similar enclosure + wiring projects is a plus
