About the job
I am developing a compact golf-club cleaning brush called Caddy Clip. It will attach to a golf bag or belt loop and include a retractable cord, an attachment clip, and interchangeable nylon-bristle brush heads.
I need a mechanical/product-development engineer—not only a 3D renderer.
The reference image attached shows a similar existing golf brush. It is for inspiration only; I want an original design with improved functionality and an interchangeable brush-head system.
Required work:
Review the attached reference product and my concept
Design an original compact handle
Design a replaceable/interchangeable nylon-bristle brush head
Develop a secure locking mechanism, such as a snap-fit, sliding lock, bayonet, or quarter-turn system
Ensure the brush head does not detach during normal back-and-forth cleaning
Integrate an existing retractable reel, cord, and clip if practical
Consider attachment to both a golf bag and a belt loop
Create detailed CAD in SolidWorks or equivalent
Create STEP and STL files
Design a functional 3D-printed prototype
Provide manufacturing drawings and a basic bill of materials
Consider future injection molding and an initial production quantity of approximately 500–1,000 units
The brush must use medium-soft or medium nylon bristles only. No wire or metal bristles. The product should be compact, comfortable to hold, durable, and suitable for exposure to water, dirt, sand, and repeated outdoor use.
The first stage will be a paid engineering...

The first stage will be a paid engineering review and mechanism-concept stage. The selected designer may then be hired for detailed CAD, prototype production, testing, revisions, and final manufacturing files.
Please include examples of:
Small plastic consumer products
Injection-molded parts
Snap-fits, latches, clips, bayonet locks, or replaceable components
Functional prototypes
Products designed for manufacturing
Please also explain whether you can produce or coordinate a physical 3D-printed prototype and whether you can integrate an off-the-shelf retractable reel and clip.
