We're seeking an experienced Piping & Layout Design Engineer to join our team working on a groundbreaking Canadian project. Responsibilities include developing 3D models utilizing CADWorx/Smart software, modular envelope definitions, and providing constructability input.
Education & Experience requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferably Masters) with 10+ years of experience in piping & layout design using CADWorx/Smart software within large capital projects in petrochemical/process or ammonia or hydrogen domains. Ideal candidate would be experienced in EPC/Owner-Operator roles within projects and working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary remote/on-site teams.
Must have direct experience in developing 3D model concepts and modular envelope definitions, specifically in Modular Design, Model Review, Envelope Definition and Piping Studies, Technical Report Writing, Root Cause Analysis, and Design Optimization.
Proven ability in providing constructability input and ensuring design feasibility, specially in Constructability Review, Field Liaison, Fabrication Ease and Installation Input.
This is a remote 10-12 months contractual role, fulltime with flexible hours aligned with Pacific Time zone. Start date is January 2026.
