Role Summary

Reporting to the Director, Operations, and working under the guidance of Project Managers, the MicroStation/CAD Technician work as members of the Engineering team, creating customer deliverables from various sources of data, primarily the Field team.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Generate drawings to customer specifications and industry standards using existing map data and new surveyed data

· Participate in the creation and development of data management standards within multiVIEW

· Generate and collate coherent data archives using customer supplied data and other sources of sub-surface conditions

· Working with the Field team and the Survey Technicians in particular, create clear, standard work and data requests

· Interpret and map field supplied data

· Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

· 2-4 years survey/CAD experience (MicroStation and AutoCAD)

· Post-Secondary Geomatics Diploma from an accredited technical school

· Related field experience is an asset

· Knowledge of and experience in the use of GIS systems

· Collaborative team player.
