About the job
My company is looking to work with several freelance mechanical designers to license existing CAD models and manufacturing drawings for product demonstrations.
Our product checks engineering drawings and 3D models for potential design and manufacturing issues. We want realistic examples from designers’ existing work, with a few intentional issues added to demonstrate the software.
We’re particularly interested in high-fidelity CNC machined, injection molded, and sheet metal formed parts.
We'd also like detailed manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, hole callouts, and multiple views.
The work would involve:
-Proposing an existing design you created and have the rights to license.
-Agreeing with our team on 2–3 realistic engineering issues to introduce into a copy.
-Making those modifications and providing a short explanation of each issue.
-Delivering the original and modified versions, including editable native CAD, STEP files, and original PDF drawings where available.
We will agree on the specific issues before editing and test the modified files.
