About the job
Project Summary
We are Forageform Lures, seeking an expert resin 3D printing professional (SLA/DLP) to produce a single, high-detail master pattern for our new Flatnose Fin Swimbait. This is a crucial step in our soft plastic lure manufacturing pipeline. This master will be used directly to create high-volume silicone injection molds. We require a flawless, mold-ready surface finish that minimizes our final preparation time and significantly reduces the risk of mold failure, mirroring the quality standards of top European lure brands.
Deliverable Mandate: Zero Post-Print Preparation
The goal of this contract is to receive a master pattern that requires zero subsequent sanding, polishing, or preparation before it can be used for molding. We require a truly seamless process that delivers a final, high-gloss master, ready for the silicone pour.
Inputs Provided
Design Files: Complete STL and OBJ files for the Swimbait.
Refrence images of the lure are provided for review, the lure is complex and does require some spesific considerations to avoid failer during the printing process and to insure that the final product will contain the nessacery detail to be captured using Tin Curing or Platnum Curing Silicone.
Master Quantity: One (1) complete master pattern. (Further work may follow if successful.)
Scope of Work (The Non-Negotiables)
The successful contractor must handle the entire process, demonstrating expertise in print orientation, resin selection, and...

Master Quantity: One (1) complete master pattern. (Further work may follow if successful.)
Scope of Work (The Non-Negotiables)
The successful contractor must handle the entire process, demonstrating expertise in print orientation, resin selection, and surface finishing.
Pre-Print Preparation:
Analyze the provided STL/OBJ files for optimal orientation to minimize support structure contact on critical surfaces (the top and sides of the lure).
Hollow the model and add necessary drain holes to prevent resin pooling and print failure (minimizing waste).
Material and Printing:
Use a high-detail, tough, or high-temp UV resin that is compatible with subsequent platinum-cure silicone molding processes (to avoid cure inhibition risk).
Print at a maximum layer height of 50 microns (0.05 mm) or finer.
The final pattern must be fully UV cured and dimensionally accurate to the original CAD file.
Mandatory Post-Processing & Finishing:
This is the most critical stage: The contractor is responsible for support removal, washing (IPA), curing, and any necessary sanding/polishing required to achieve a glass-smooth surface.
If layer lines or support dimples are visible, the contractor is required to sand, wet-sand, and polish the master pattern to a high-gloss, Class A finish suitable for direct silicone mold making.
Time & Budget Estimation (Canadian Dollars)
Based on the highly specialized post-processing requirement and the need for a professional-grade mold master, we are offering a fixed-rate contract.
Fixed Budget Range: $250 CAD – $500 CAD (Depending on the complexity of the file and the estimated time for flawless post-processing).
Project Timeline: Initial sample pattern to be shipped within 7 business days of file acceptance.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven expertise in high-resolution SLA/DLP printing for the lure/toy/casting industry.
Specific experience creating masters for soft plastic lure molding, with an understanding of the fidelity required by brands like Savage Gear and Eastfield Lures, and content creators such as SportfiskePrylar and Kanalgratis.
CRITICAL REQUIREMENT: Candidates must possess the skills and experience to extrapolate their knowledge to provide a seamless, mold-ready master blank of the Flatnose Fin Swimbait directly to Forageform Lures. Only candidates with this specific experience level will be considered.
Ability to demonstrate prior portfolio examples of polished, mold-ready masters (not just raw prints).
Fluent in communication and committed to the "zero cleanup" mandate.
