About the job
We’re developing a small, functional tool accessory designed to fit over standard ¼” hex screwdriver bits. The goal is to enhance performance during use (e.g. stability, grip, alignment). We’re looking for a freelance product designer with experience in mechanical parts, tool design, or product prototyping to develop a manufacturable 3D CAD model of the concept.
Deliverables:
• Final 3D CAD model (STEP + source file)
• Technical drawing with tolerances and material callouts
• Design optimized for CNC machining (preferably aluminum or steel)
• Basic assembly/use animation or render (optional but preferred)
Requirements:
• Proven experience with mechanical or product design
• CAD proficiency (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar)
• Familiarity with designing for CNC or tool-grade tolerances
• Able to work under Vision Aerospace Group branding and IP
