About the job
We already have the full CAD files for this design (2D drawings + STEP model, attached). This job is adjusting the existing design — not a from-scratch design project.
Background
Existing product design: a Tritan shaker bottle with internal mixing fins, hex lid, flip spout, and a scoop/sachet compartment in the cap. A first prototype was 3D-printed from the current CAD and has fit problems (below). Full 2D drawings (6 sheets) and a reference 3D model of the target geometry are attached. This is a scoped revision of an existing design, not a from-scratch project — estimated 2–3 hours of CAD work. Fixed price preferred.
What needs to change
1. Main lid thread (the critical fix). The printed lid will not screw onto the bottle. Open the lid thread root diameter to Ø 65.40 mm (bottle thread major Ø 65.0). Threads must be modeled, not cosmetic. State the thread pitch and number of starts you are modeling, and confirm them against the source drawings before final delivery. Add lead-in chamfers on both the bottle mouth and the lid.
2. Body reshape. Taper the lower third: base OD 72 mm (hard max 73 — it must fit a car cup holder) and grip zone ≤ 72 mm max OD. Shoulders above the grip may swell for volume. The 65 mm mouth/thread interface stays as-is.
3. Capacity target: 27 oz (≈800 ml) brim-full. Note: at the original 190.5 mm overall height this envelope only holds ~24.6 oz. Reaching 27 oz is approved at up to ~197 mm overall height and ~90 mm shoulder diameter — base a...

4. Scoop cap. Deepen the scoop well in the cap to ~17 mm and hold 0.3–0.5 mm radial clearance on the small scoop lid so it doesn't bind (the v1 scoop lid binds).
5. Keep unchanged: hex lid (86 mm across flats), flip spout, internal mixing fins ×4 at 5 mm protrusion, washer Ø 65.10 / 59.10, wall thickness 1.2 mm.
Acceptance gates (required before final payment releases)
- Section-view screenshots through the lid/bottle thread interface showing the modeled threads engaged, with the thread spec stated (pitch, starts, major/root Ø for both parts).
- Section view of the scoop cap showing the 0.3–0.5 mm clearance.
- Key dimensions list: base OD, grip OD, overall height, thread diameters, brim capacity from the solid.
Deliverables
- STEP files: bottle, lid, cap, and full assembly
- Print-ready STL of the bottle
- Native source files (SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / Inventor — your working format)
Budget & timeline
- Fixed price; please submit your quote for this scope.
- Timeline: ~1 week is fine; sooner welcome
Note: a reference STEP model at the 27 oz target geometry (assembly_b.step) is attached for reference. Source 2D drawings (6 sheets) and a spec sheet with target dimensions are also attached.
