I’m looking for a senior mechanical/electromechanical engineer to develop a feasibility study and proof-of-concept for YZM-01, a premium electronic/hybrid calendar instrument based on the traditional Maldivian 27-Nakaiy calendar. The system will use electronic timing and astronomical/calendar computation to determine the current Nakaiy, while translating that information into a precise physical mechanical display.
The work should cover system architecture, 27 unequal-duration Nakaiy timing logic, motor/actuator and indexing mechanism, position sensing, control electronics, mechanical transmission, CAD concept, motion simulation, accuracy/reliability analysis, and prototype recommendations. Experience with precision mechanisms, horology, mechatronics, electromechanical displays, cams, indexing systems, or astronomical/calendar instruments is strongly preferred.
The objective is to establish a technically credible architecture that can be prototyped and ultimately developed into a high-end luxury product.
